Healthy Breakfast Recipe - Sprouts Poha

We always believe healthy food should be easy and tasty. This time we are bringing the recipe of a simple Indian breakfast - Sprouts Poha.


  1. Poha – 200 grams
  2. Mixed Sprouts – 1oo grams
  3. Chopped onions – 20 grams
  4. Chopped green chilies – 20 grams
  5. Mustard seeds – 1 tablespoon
  6. Turmeric powder – 1 tablespoon
  7. Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon
  8. Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
  9. Sugar – ½ tablespoon
  10. Oil – 1 teaspoon
  11. Salt – As per taste

Sprouts Poha Ingredients

How To Prepare Mixed Sprouts Poha:

  1. Place poha/beaten rice in a sieve and wash it lightly. Drain the water and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Take a non-stick pan and heat oil on a medium flame. Add mustard seeds, chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté till onions turn light brown.
  3. Then add mixed sprouts and sauté for another couple of minutes on a medium flame.
  4. Add salt and sugar to the sauté and cook for another couple of minutes.
  5. Now add poha and a tablespoon of lemon juice and mix well. Cook it for 2-3 minutes while stirring it continuously to avoid overcooking.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with tea or coffee.
